A side project built for fun, out of a struggle every outside contributor knows: a pull request nobody answers. Its 27 October 2026 snapshot followed 1,442,863 pull requests from 227,260 outside contributors to 11,000 projects. In that snapshot, 13.6% of active projects left most outside pull requests with no human reply for two weeks, and stars barely predicted which ones.
